I was raised by a yak, who always considered me part of the family. I currently make a precarious living as the office manager of an economic modeling company shile writing the big, bold new book that will rip the face off the sordid underbelly of medieval quilting and spending FAR too much time on the SCA.

Finally...on a completely serious note, I suffer from a benign tumor in my right ear. Acoustic neuromas are rare and slow growing, and cause deafness, tinnitus, balance problems, and occasionally facial paralysis. Mine is being monitored right now, and I'm hoping to avoid surgery.
